The Department of Business Administration and Economics has a lot more to offer than just a quality education in a wide range of business and economics subjects. The department's manageable size facilitates immediate access to faculty members and encourages direct contact between professors and their students. Degree Programmes & Teaching
Since the winter semester 2006/2007 JLU Gießen offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree program in either
Business Administration or Economics. The B.A. is designed as a three-year (six-semester) programme.
From the winter semester 2009/2010, our department offers B.A. graduates the possibility to study for a Master of Arts
(M.A.) degree in either Business Administration or Economics. Both M.A. degrees are research-focused programmes which aim
to further students' in-depth understanding of selected academic specialties. As such, an M.A. degree is also one of the
preconditions for future doctoral studies. The M.A. is designed as a two-year (four-semester) programme.
